Vegan Homemade Almond Milk

Making your own almond milk is simple; no added preservatives and the homemade taste is better than any store bought.

Ingredients:


- 1 cup raw almonds

- 5 cups water

- 4 pitted dates

- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

* optional: 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract


Instructions:

-Soak almonds in water overnight (6-8hrs).


- Drain all the water off the almonds.


-Put all ingredients in a high speed blender until well combined.


-If desired, use a nut milk bag or cheesecloth to strain remaining pulp for a smooth consistency.


I personally like to keep the pulp. The texture is fine and the pulp has great fiber.
