Filling Ingredients:
24 oz.Fresh Strawberries, slice into smaller pieces
1 cup of Strawberry puree (use fresh or frozen/ defrosted & blend)
1 cup organic sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Crust Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 cup organic sugar
1 tsp sea salt
2 tbsp baking powder
2 cups vegan milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup vegan butter
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
For the filling, in a medium bowl combine strawberries, puree, vanilla and sugar; set aside for 15 minutes.
For the crust, in a large bowl mix the dry ingredients first, then whisk in the milk and vanilla.*excluding the butter.
Melt the butter in a small bowl.
Assembly:
Pour the batter in an ungreased baking pan/dish.
Pour the melted butter over it.
Lastly, pour strawberry filling on top.
Bake for 45 min or until crust is golden brown.
